Husky Farm Visit
Husky

In recent years, the area around Isbreen The Glacier has attracted a growing community of husky breeders, even earning itself the nickname ‘Husky Valley’. The terrain here is ideal for training dogs to compete in the longest dogsledding race in Europe - the Finnmarksløpet
– which begins in the nearby city of Alta. On your private tour of a local husky farm, you will learn about the 4000-year-old tradition of husky breeding, and get a taste of the daily life and routines of a husky handler. You will also have the chance to get to know the dogs themselves; some of the friendliest creatures on four legs anywhere in the world.
