Journey through the tranquil waters of the Jøkelfjord and experience the Arctic at its most elemental. In your open-topped RIB (rigid inflatable boat) you will feel both the wind in your hair and the water beneath you as you cruise just 50cm over the surface. The RIB’s flat bottom enables you to explore shallows and areas inaccessible to other boats, and you will float up close to the mighty Øksfjordjøkelen glacier to admire its ice floes and glacial caves, before turning to sail out through the mouth of the fjord. Along the way, your local captain will introduce you to both the natural and cultural history of the landscape, guiding you as you discover its rich variety of bird and marine life.
